Intermountain Healthcare has partnered with the Raiderettes and is providing on site resources to help keep their physical and mental health in check.
The Raiderettes have teamed up with Intermountain Healthcare to provide “Football’s Fabulous Females” with numerous services including physical therapy, nutrition, sports psychology, and mental wellness services.
“Being a professional athlete comes with injuries, and now, having the resources with Intermountain to get these ladies back and with a clear path forward has been absolutely fantastic,” said Raiderettes Director Tiphanie McNiff.
A sports psychologist from Intermountain is available to the Raiderettes on a daily basis. Alison Carr, Intermountain Physical Therapist assisting the Raiderettes, said, “Our sports psychologist is very knowledgeable in sports specifically. She really understands what the dancers need, she was also an athlete as well.”
The behavioral health aspect also helps when they are coming back from injury, as Carr said there is potential for fear of re-aggravating the injury and the pain that comes with it.
In 2019, Intermountain Healthcare and the Raiders announced their naming rights partnership for the Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center and Raiders Headquarters, which house Silver & Black football and business operations. Intermountain Healthcare also became the Official Healthcare Partner of the Raiders and a Founding Partner of Allegiant Stadium.
The Raiders and Intermountain Healthcare share a joint commitment to the community and are involved in programs that work towards improving community engagement, better health outcomes, and overall well-being for individuals, families, and communities in the western United States. In addition to providing medical care, Intermountain Healthcare will continue its community engagement with the Raiderettes and are the title sponsor of the Jr. Raiderettes camps held at the Raiderettes Studio.
